Customers today require high quality standards for components they purchase from their selected powder metallurgy partner.  Clarion Sintered Metals, Inc. believe that  processes that are in control provide the best route to high quality finished components.  Our quality assurance processes are firmly in place to meet or exceed customer requirements and to provide us with cost effective manufacturing processes.

            Clarion Sintered Metals, Inc., is certified TS 16949 in 2006. We use a networked SPC database, to control our processes from the receiving room floor to the shipping dock.  Examples of the staffing and equipment involved to provide our customers with the highest level of quality products for which we are capable start with our Analytical Powder Testing Laboratory.  This lab performs all of the standard MPIF (Metal Powder Industry Federation) tests.  The lab contains a carbon analyzer and a zoom stereoscope for these tests.

            Our Metallurgical Laboratory grinds and polishes samples to a .05 micro finish and is capable of studies of microstructure of finished components.  Equipment in this laboratory includes an inverted stage brightfield and darkfield polarized metallograph.  We also do complete chemical testing.
